Kurt began his automotive career after earning a full scholarship to Arizona Automotive Institute (AAI) while still in high school. After graduating, he went on to work under Mike Paar at Mike’s Place - known nationwide as Miata Mecca - where he spent more than two decades developing deep, model-specific expertise in Mazda Miatas.

When Mike’s Place closed its Phoenix location in 2014, Kurt opened Greene Auto, LLC in Desert Hills the following year. Since then, he has provided precision service for Mazda Miatas to owners across the greater Phoenix area—and to dedicated customers who travel from as far as Utah and California for his level of care.

Kurt has been an ASE-Certified Master Technician for over 25 years, offering everything from preventative maintenance and diagnostics to repairs when the inevitable happens—like A/C failures in the middle of the Arizona summer. Services include brake repair, electrical diagnostics, belt and hose replacement, shocks and struts, check-engine light evaluation, and more.

The Shop Dog

Tree is the heart of the shop - and she takes her job VERY seriously.

Her bark can sound intimidating, and those striking blue eyes definitely get attention - but give her a moment to sniff your hand and you’ll see the real Tree. Toss her a ball or offer a treat and you’ve officially made a friend for life.

Around here, Tree serves as Chief Greeter, Supervisor, and Director of Customer Entertainment. If you hear a thump-thump of that tail or get invited to a quick game of fetch, congratulations - you’ve been approved.
